How To Be Smarter!

14:08

I must say that getting to the top is easy! What costs is to stay there! If you think that once you become successful, you can stop learning, stop fooling yourself. If you rest on our laurels or assume that you know enough, you will quickly realize that you are wrong. To get to the top and stay there, you must constantly improve yourself. The quest for knowledge must be constant and well sustained! Do not rest, because in this ever changing society, there is always something new to learn and something old to improve! Stay sharp and always on top of your game! There are some tips that will help you to stay alert an in constant getting smart process

You need to be informed, so... Read! A lot!
Read daily newspapers and web sites to stay up-to-date on current events. Reading is perhaps one of the easiest ways to keep your brain on its track. Read a business magazine during your lunch hour to learn more about general business trends. Before you to to sleep, reed a good novel or a general interest magazine. Knowledge doesn't requires extra space.

Hope you like writing too... it is important that you keep a personal diary.
Ensure that you're learning from experiences by writing them down in a daily. It is fascinating to look back on your thinking process. In doing so, you can often make connections that you had missed the first time around. Remember those times when you stop and make a connection to some past event and you think how dumb you where?! A diary will help you find answers to a lot of questions.

Start modeling!
Associate with smart people and you will become smarter, and gain knowledge and insight from them. Stimulating conversation doesn't need to involve debates or formal talks. Any social gathering will do as well as a phone call or even an online chat. Copy people that have succeed. Learn their skills and leverage points. How always remember... there are "successful" people that don't know how to gain a dime... they are only successful in burning what others have gather... you will not want to model a leash!

Do you have extra interests?
Get an hobbie! Build a bike, play Playstation. Hobbies are not only relaxing, they can stimulate the mind in different ways. Hobbies often force the mind to build new mental patterns in order to accomplish certain tasks. Think of it as light exercise for the brain. Learn to dance or play a musical instrument, anything to get the other areas of your brain working. Try to be involved in hobbies that are not a continuation of your normal day job, try something completly different!
The brain can easily fall into a rut. If you do the same things day in and day out, you will lull your brain into a deep sleep. This is why many production line workers of the early automobile industry went nuts. Take a different route to work sometimes, eat at a different restaurant and walk down an unknown street. They don't have to be big things, but try to vary your routine a little to keep things fresh and allow your brain to make new neural connections.

Stay open to all options.
Each day you will be facing many decisions that require thought and an educated know how if you want to make the best choice. This is one of the best ways to remain sharp. There are often many solutions to the same problem, but there is usually only one that is the best. To get to the best solution, you will need to list all the possible options and explore them in depth. You must be able to incorporate complex "if this, then that" types of reasoning into your decision-making process to account for all possibilities. Once you train yourself to do this, you'll find that your decisions will be of better quality. Never forget that sloppy thinking leads to sloppy results.

If you want to get big... start small!
Humans usually learn best in bits and pieces. The best approach for solving large problems is to break them down into a series of smaller problems. A job works in the same manner. If you are doing the same work for 20 years, your brain will shift to cruise control. Take a risk and try your hand at something new. You don't necessarily have to leave your current job, but don't be afraid to venture into the unknown at work. Take initiative and revamp your distribution channel.

The world is a very big place.
Go on a trip from time to time! You don't have to go to a far country, dig into Borneo just to live an adventure... you wont image what you can find just around the corner! I always say that if you want to know the world... start with knowing your neighbors.

You won't realize your strengths until you have experienced failure doing something. Don't be afraid to try something you know you're not good at, even if only to reinforce how you feel about the things you are good at. Being the Jack of all trades is a little harder than it sounds, but well worth the effort. Hey, you might never be the best at anything but you can good at lots of things. To me, that is more important, it give's you a multi leverage that specialization does not provide!

Remember, a mind is a terrible thing to waste. So go out and try news things, think them through, master them, and have fun in the process
